Important News regarding the St Francis Site

Demolition of St Francis Buildings

As a result of increasing antisocial behaviour together with significant health and safety concerns, it has been decided that in advance of other projected building works, all of the existing buildings on the St Francis site will be demolished as soon as possible.  We are anticipating contractors commencing this work on Monday 14th June 2010, although some preliminary will be completed before that.

In order to complete this work, the site will be fenced off completely with access open only to Maultway Court.  We understand that until now the hard-standing has been used for car parking for nearby residents and also to drop off and pick up children from school, but we would be very grateful if you could ensure that all vehicles within your remit are parked elsewhere. 

We realise that this will cause some inconvenience, particularly while the demolition work is undertaken, which is expected to take about three weeks.

Please take care when you are in the vicinity of the site and ensure that any children in your care are kept well away, in view of the movement of heavy vehicles and potentially dangerous objects

After demolition the entire site will remain fenced off in anticipation of the building project moving towards completion in the foreseeable future.
