Activities
Bible Course
We will be running The Bible Course on Sunday evenings at 6:30pm, from 13th September to 15th November (no session on 1st November).
Over eight sessions we travel through the whole Bible — from Genesis to Revelation — discovering how its books fit together into one big story with a powerful message for today. Each session includes a 30-minute course video, discussion, and a set of daily readings to follow through the week beforehand.
The weekly readings will be printed in the newssheet, and a full printed booklet will be given to everyone attending.
Please save the dates now. All are welcome.
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
We are collecting for Operation Christmas Child again this year!
Operation Christmas Child is an amazing initiative from the charity, Samaritan’s Purse, that helps give children across the world, who have nothing, something to look forward to at Christmas.
At the back of Church there is a table with shoeboxes and all the info you need to fill a box yourself. There is also a red bin so if you are not in a position to do a whole box but can buy a toy or colouring pencils or anything in-between, maybe knit a hat, scarf, or gloves. Please place what you can contribute here by Sunday 1st November and we will use individual items collected to make up further full boxes.
We will pray over all of the boxes in the service on the 8th November when the collection ends. The boxes will be sent off for distribution the following week.
If you would like to know more, please either speak to Michael Stevens or you can email him.
New Venture Concert Band Charity Concert 28th November
You are warmly invited to join us for a spectacular evening’s entertainment at Ruxley Church with the New Venture Concert Band on Saturday 28th November at 7pm.
Entrance is free. Many of us have personally benefited from the care of the Royal Marsden, or will know someone who has, so there will be a retiring collection in aid of the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, for those who are in a position to be generous.
Put the date in your diary and bring your family and friends!
